YOU ARE STUPID, you can find a great horse for under that price and they are not all young horses. I paid $600.00 for my purebred 15hh, 10 year old, TWH mare, that is BROKE, so well, that a beginner rider could ride her no problem. If you have not taken lessons for a while you DO NOT need your own horse. Dat is not a word, try learning to spell “that” first. Size should not contribute to the price of a horse. So what if it has won 700 bucks, you should look at the words “HAS WON”. It does not mean that it is going to win hands down. You can find a horse ALLOT cheaper if you, deflate your head, listen to your parents, and look for a horse that is within your price range. I **** to be rude but, I truly **** it when people only look at the price of a horse and not the horse.
If this is your first I would buy a bead broke, beginners horse. It will help you build up confidence.

You are right about the price, it seems good, maybe too good. Provided there’s nothing wrong with the horse, explain that 1800 is a really good deal and similar horses are sold for much more. Have someone experienced explain just how good the price is. Calmly tell them that it can take months of searching to find a suitable horse, but don’t continually go on at them. Then just show them how responsible you can be. It may not work but it could help for the future. Good luck.

wow so this was pretty difficult to read. But anyways, why don’t you just sit your parents down and have a talk with them?? Put your negotiation skills to the test and work things out as much as you can. Who is going to pay for vetting? Who is going to pay for the farrier? Who is going to pay for tack? Who is going to pay to board? etc. You have to work WITH your parents or else they will just work against you.

Count yourself lucky that your parents are willing to put ANY money towards a horse for you. Mine put nothing and is why I partboard instead of own.

Just say that you will be the one to muck it out, feed it and ride it and look after it not them. If they say no just say it is your dream to have a horse as a pet.

i actully suggest you loan a horse until your an expert on them.

then get one that is unbroken for about £700 and break it yourself.

i know it sounds long winded but people do it and your not spoiling your own horse, someonelses if you loan so you win both ways.

its probably not what you want to hear but its a good idea and if i diddnt have my own, thats what i would do.

first tell them u will take most of the reponsibility. like all except buying the food. tell them you will do all u can to help pay off the dept to with the horse. that horse could get u a lot of money around the house and in YOUR pocket.

What ever you do, don;t start the I NEED ONE, don’t whine, and you need to show them how responible you are. I recenlty got 2 horses for Christmas and the only reason I got one is because my unlce called my parents and said,” I’ve got the perfect horse for them…”. If you have a relitive then ask them to help you. Don’t whine because you will sound like a whiny child and a child who always wants more.

Maybe if you improve your English and make it understandable they will be so amazed and proud that they will buy you the horse. I don’t know anything about your parents and if they don’t want to pay for something, chances are, they aren’t going to pay for it. Remember, horses aren’t only costly because of their purchase price; they need food, vetting, a place to live, shoes, and so much more.
